All of our classes are running and we are following all government and British Gymnastics guidelines to keep all of our members safe. These measures include social distancing, regular hand sanitizing and non contact coaching.
Here at Abingdon Gymnastics Club we offer a wide range of classes at various times, Monday-Saturday. Our classes run for 50 weeks of the year, closing for one week in summer and one week at Christmas. We are also closed on Bank holidays. Our coaches are fully qualified and DBS checked. We are Oxford's only purpose built facility with competition equipment and a foam pit.
We offer gymnastics for all ages and abilities, and currently our classes are 45 minutes long. Our classes are split primarily on age, and our sessions for on progression so that every gymnast can be the best they can be! We offer British Gymnastics proficiency awards three times a year, as well as our own award scheme so gymnasts always have something to work towards. We run events such as a summer festival and an annual competition so parents have the opportunity to see how their child is progressing.
We run extra activities in our holidays, such as fun days, workshops and private sessions. For more information please click on the holiday classes tab.
If you would like to sign your child up, please complete the application for out waiting list and you will be contacted via email when a suitable space becomes available.
SEN with parent classes
We know that some children with additional need require physical support and guidance in order to participate in our classes. Due to current covid measures we are unable to offer this kind of support so we have created a new class where parents are welcomed into the facility to encourage and help there children participate. These classes follow the same structure as our general classes and are lead by one of our senior coaches who has completed some additional training through an inclusion course with British Gymnastics. We have limited spaces so please get in touch if you would like your child to take part.
