Easter Weekend
There are no classes over the Easter Weekend. (Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Monday 9th April.)
School Holiday Fun Sessions
Our coaching team run daytime fun sessions during the school holidays. These take place on Tuesday and Thursdays from 10am-4pm at a cost of £20.00 per day. There is a discounted rate of £35.00 for children who attend both sessions during the same week.

Completition of Building Work
The Pit is now finished and ready for use!
The club has seen some quite extensive building work going on over the past three weeks. This has included the instalation of a foam filled pit, a new bar and a tumble track. The club received a grant from Sport England Inspired Facilities Funding, to fund the project. We would like to thank Sport England , The South Region Gymnastics Association and The Friends of Abingdon Gym Club, who have all assisted with the funding.

Term 2
Term 2 runs from Monday 12th March until Saturday 19th May.
Payment for term 2 is now overdue
Payment date was Saturday 10th March.

Emails requesting payment will be sent out over the weekend 25th/26th February. You can follow the links on the website to find out how much you owe and to pay via paypal.
You are also welcome to pay by bank transfer following the details Georgia sent out or bring a cheque into the gym.
Competition Results
March 2012
Lucy and India at British Schools Finals.
Congratulations to Lucy Prower and India Weller who competed as part of the South Region team at the British Schools National Finals in Newcastle on Sunday 25th March. Both girls had good competitions with India finishing in an impressive Bronze Medal postition.
Success at National and Compulsory Grades
Our Girls Competition Squads have been in action at National and Regional Grades competitions.
Sunday 4th March saw success for Rachel Willett passing National grade 6 and Ellie Galbraith passing National grade 8. They were accompanied by Lottie James, Kira-Lily Rumley, Isabel Larman and Lily-Mae Snuggs who competed in their first Regional competition being put to the test at Compulsory Grade 5. The girls were up against some strong competition and all performed their routines confidently.
7 Distinctions, 9 passes and 10 Medals at Regional Grades.
Oxfordshire's round of the Regional Grades took place at Milton Keynes on 25th March. Confident performances by all our gymnasts produced 7 distinctions, 9 passes 10 medals.
Anna Hodge, Hollie Kerby, Freya Coughlan, Lexie-Mae Neal and Imogen Nutt all achieved distinction at Grade 14 the girls took 4 out of the top 5 places with Anna winning a Silver medal and Hollie Bronze. At Grade 13 April Davies passed with Distinction in Silver Medal position she was joined on the podium by Macy-Mai Timony who won Bronze.
Grade 12 saw passes for Morgan Brock, Gracie Buchanan and Lizzieanna Quigley. With Morgan also achieveing bronze medal position. Grade 11 was won by Anna Regan passing with distinction, Alice Onion was in bronze Medal postion and Charlotte Atkinson in 4th. Grade 10 saw a Gold medal for Katherine Angwin and Silver for Chloe Palmer and Grade 9 the highest grade in this competition was won by Chloe Lloyd.

Adult Gymnastics Classes
We now run adults gym sessions from 8-9.15pm on Tuesday evenings. These are pay as you go and the cost is £6.00 per session. We cater for total beginners through to ex-gymnasts who want to see what they can still do and classes are supervised by British Gymnastics qualified coaches.
Gymnastics is great for agility, balance, coordination, strength and flexibility - so why not come along and have a go!
